This Book "Understanding of Thalassemia is written and composed by me and published by Nishtar Publications. 

My vision is that every thalassemia patient should get the best possible medical care with human dignity, compassion and hope. My aspirations are to relieve the sufferings, to heal where possible, to educate where knowledge is lacking and to prevent where it can be prevented. I wish to contribute to the future of every thalassemia patient where they receive timely, safe and comprehensive medical care.

In this book, I tried to convey my message to everyone that knowledge creates understanding, science guides the treatment, compassion leads to care and prevention protects future generations. My purpose will be fulfilled, if it helps even one healthcare professional to provide better care or one family understand thalassemia more clearly or one child receive a healthier and more hopeful future.

I believe that thalassemia is much more than a blood disorder. It is a lifelong challenge affecting millions of people worldwide and it is the right of every child to live a life beyond thalassemia. I have shared my knowledge that will bridge the gap between medical science and practical care. My aspiration is that this book will educate healthcare professionals, empower patients and families, promote prevention and contribute to better standards of thalassemia care in Pakistan and beyond.
